What the site covers
- 56 AI tool profiles in 18 categories, from chatbots and coding assistants to meeting notes, automation, and cybersecurity.
- In-depth profiles of 13 widely used tools, each with a dated pricing table, pros and cons, alternatives, and an FAQ.
- 6 head-to-head comparisons, such as n8n vs Zapier and ChatGPT vs Claude, each with a direct "choose this if" recommendation.
- The AI Tool Match quiz, which routes you to the right category based on what you want AI to do.
Who runs AI Tool Search
AI Tool Search is run by Roman "Gabe" Guerra, a senior information security engineer with more than 15 years of experience in data loss prevention (DLP), firewall and IDS/IPS engineering, security architecture, incident response, and AWS security, in financial services and at security vendors.
He is also the founder of Guerra AI Automations, which builds AI automations for small businesses, and he runs his own business workflows on a self-hosted n8n stack. You can find him on LinkedIn.
How tools are researched
- Prices come from the vendor. Every pricing table is checked against the tool's own pricing page or documentation, and the page shows the check date and the source link.
- Nothing is guessed. When a price or limit can't be confirmed on the vendor's site, it is left out or flagged instead of estimated.
- Pages show their age. Each profile and comparison shows when its content was last updated.
- No invented testing. Pros and cons are based on vendors' published features, pricing, and documentation. Pages don't claim hands-on testing that didn't happen.
- Discontinued tools are labeled. When a product is retired, its page says so and points to the replacement, as with DALLĀ·E.
- Security details are called out. Given the founder's background, profiles note the privacy and security details vendors publish, such as SOC 2 reports, privacy modes, and HIPAA options.
Who pays for the site
AI Tool Search is operated by Guerra AI Automations. The directory helps people discover tools, and Guerra AI Automations earns money by helping businesses connect those tools into real workflows. Requests sent through the contact forms on this site go to Guerra AI Automations.
No links on this site are affiliate links today. If that changes, they will be labeled and listed on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
Because the site is run by an automation agency, it has opinions about tools like n8n, Make, and Zapier, and uses n8n in its own work. Comparison pages show the facts behind each recommendation so you can judge for yourself.
Corrections
AI tools change their prices and plans often. If you spot something out of date, let us know and it will be checked against the vendor's site and corrected.
